Current Student Organizers & Officers
SD leaders, you represent the backbone of
Sustained Dialogue on your campus. You are not
only the spokesperson for SD, but also the
engine that makes it all possible. Your team
consists of a diverse group of committed
leaders who take on the tasks and
responsibilities necessary to manage a
student-run organization. As leaders of a
dialogue program, know that you are part of a
movement towards bringing lasting change to
campuses and communities across the country.
One aspect of Sustained Dialogue is running the logistics of a student organization. This constitutes planning recruitment, maintaining a budget, and keeping a record of meeting minutes to name a few. This area of leadership is where the most flexibility lies in terms of structure. Logistics and organizational needs can be managed by one person, but as your organization continues to grow, you will need several others to get the job done. While the rest of the
leadership team helps out with organization and
logistics, only 1 or 2 people are necessary to
manage the dialogue component of your SD
program. This entails recruiting
moderators, helping run moderator
training, facilitating the moderator meetings,
reporting to SDCN for updates and support, and
making sure all moderators and participants
receive pertinent emails and announcements from
SDCN's Program Directors.
